Welcome to www.privateresumewriting.ca (“we,” “our,” “us”). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.
At Private Writing Services, we are committed to providing excellent client services governed by ethical standards. We provide professional resume writing, cover letter writing, job application support, and virtual career consultation services (collectively, the “Services”). All services are delivered digitally unless otherwise agreed upon.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a legal guardian to use our Services. You agree to provide accurate and current information when placing an order or creating an account.
Terms of Agreement
This agreement applies to the revision and creation of digital documents available for sale on www.privateresumeservices.ca. As of this date there are approximately 13 product and service categories to choose from ranging from resume creation to cover letter templates, to job search research assistance. Documents will be sent in .DOCX or .PDF format unless otherwise specified prior to sale. Payment is due after the completion of revisions and creations, at the time of invoicing. Digital documents will be password protected attached to invoicing. Upon completion of payment, the customer will be provided with document passwords for ease and convenience. See Price List for current rates which include HST.
· Accepted Payment Methods: We accept email money transfer, or PayPal (debit / credit / Apple Pay / Google Pay accepted). Services are delivered for the Ontario region and prices are paid in CAD Canadian Dollar.
· Payment is due at the time of purchase or at the time of invoicing. Orders will not be processed or delivered until payment is successfully received or confirmed.
· Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final unless otherwise stated. Refunds may be issued only in cases of duplicate charges, defective files, or non-delivery. Please contact us within 14 days of purchase for support.
· We understand sometimes errors happen. In the case of a document error promptly inform us of the documentation error and we will revise and correct it for you within 14 days of purchase.
· We use secure, encrypted payment gateways. In cases of suspected fraud, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction and request additional verification.
· We may update this agreement from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
We reserve the right to cancel an order we suspect is infringing upon plagiarism, deceit, hate speech, misconduct, harassment, or inappropriate content or language.
Timing
The Terms of Service Agreement shall be active from the date of implementation and will remain in effect unless replaced with a revised Terms of Service.
Delivery of Goods
This agreement applies to goods and services offered by Private Writing Services at www.privateresumewriting.ca. It includes resume, cover letter and employment application assistance services.
Responsibilities
The Company Director is responsible for ensuring that products and services are provided with best business practices.
The Company Director shall also be responsible for implementing reasonable measures to prevent fraud and is responsible for implementing reasonable accommodations when delivering goods and services to the customer.
Licenses & Usage Rights
All content, materials, and digital products created, developed, or provided by Private Writing Services (“the Company”) in connection with its services—including but not limited to websites, graphics, logos, text, code, videos, reports, digital strategies, and other deliverables—are the intellectual property of the Company unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
Unless otherwise specified in a written agreement:
All original content and materials produced by the Company remain the sole property of the Company.
The Company retains the right to reuse or repurpose non-confidential elements of its work for future projects, marketing, or internal purposes.
Client Rights
Upon full payment for services rendered, clients are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the final deliverables for their intended employment application and job search purposes, as agreed in the scope of work. This license does not include the right to resell, reproduce, or redistribute the materials without prior written consent from the Company.
Third-Party Materials
In cases where third-party assets (e.g., stock images, plugins, templates) are used, such materials remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their own licensing terms. The Company is not responsible for the misuse of third-party intellectual property by the client.
Infringement
Clients agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, or exploit any portion of the Company’s work without explicit written permission. Any unauthorized use of the Company’s intellectual property may result in legal action.
Trademarks and Branding
All trademarks, service marks, trade names, and logos used by the Company are the property of their respective owners. Nothing in the provision of services should be construed as granting any license or right to use any trademark displayed without the prior written permission of the owner.
Compliance & Enforcement
Compliance and enforcement of a Terms of Service (ToS) agreement are essential for maintaining the integrity, security, and lawful use of a platform or service. Users are expected to adhere to the terms outlined, which typically include rules regarding acceptable conduct, intellectual property use, and limitations on liability. To ensure compliance, the Company Director may monitor activity, investigate reported violations, and employ automated tools or manual review processes. When breaches occur, enforcement actions can range from warnings and temporary suspensions to permanent account termination or legal proceedings, depending on the severity of the violation.
Review & Revision
When Private Writing Services (“The Company”) submits a revision of a Terms of Service (ToS) agreement, we will clearly document the proposed changes and communicate them effectively to users by updating the official ToS document on the company’s website and notifying users through accessible channels such as email, in-app notifications, or banners on the platform. It is important for the revised ToS to comply with relevant legal standards You will have an opportunity to ask questions or discontinue service if you do not agree to the changes.
Limited Liability
The information, products, and services provided by Private Writing Services ("the Company") are offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While the Company strives to ensure accuracy and reliability, it makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability with respect to the services or the information contained therein for any purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
The use of or inability to use the services provided;
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
Statements or conduct of any third party on the service;
Any other matter relating to the services.
This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damage.
By using the Company’s services, you acknowledge and agree to this limitation of liability.
Refund Policy
Due to the personalized and digital nature of our services, all sales are final. Refunds are only considered in cases where no service has been delivered, and the request is made within 72 hours of purchase. Please contact us at info@privateresumewriting.ca with concerns.
